I've never been good at writing love songs. No matter how hard i try it just comes off as
cheesy, and how many "tortured souls" are out there picking up their out of tune guitars and
writing a song about how much they love girl x in an effort to get into their pants?

Songs about breaking down of relationships though, are a different matter. I guess it's just the emotion that can be brought out during a phase where we struggle to get through makes for some
interesting writing, although it does make for a bleak outlook on life.

That said, this song is neither of these, like where I was at the time, this song is an inbetweener. More of a look overall of where I'd been and where I was going. Realising just how interconnected everyone I've been with is, or perhaps that's just a result of the colossal mass of inbreeding that is Perth.

Quantum of Alice

Hi,

This is a song I wrote for the UWA Pantomime Society's production: James Bond in Alice's Wonderland. Musically it's nothing special, just a variation on the riff from the James Bond theme, which most people seem to be doing for Bond theme songs now anyway.

First Entry

Hey all,

I've decided from now on I'll be releasing my finished musical numbers on this blog with links to my skydrive so that you can download them if you wish. Don't expect this to be frequently updated, my work generally tends to be on a "I write when I get the mood" basis. That said I have a lot of backlog material that needs to go up here, so for the next couple of weeks or so the updates should be fairly regular.
